tear tough Filler

improve and eliminate dark ciricles and appear more awake and less tired

The tear trough is a hollow that extends from the side of the nose, below the eye, and above the upper cheekbone, creating a ‘dip’ under the eyes. For some individuals, this area can become deeper and more shadowed, giving the appearance of dark circles and a tired look. Additionally, as they age, many people notice wrinkles forming around the tear trough areas. Tear trough filler is a popular procedure with minimal downtime, designed to improve and eliminate dark circles, making one appear more awake and less tired.

Refresh and Look Less Tired.

Tear Trough Filler treatment is a non-surgical aesthetic procedure using hyaluronic acid injectable gel.
Tear trough filler is a popular treatment for those who want to eliminate the tired look caused by dark circles or bags under their eyes.

By applying dermal fillers, we can soften dark circles and rejuvenate the area around the eyes, leaving you looking less tired and more refreshed.
The treatment is relatively painless, with only some mild swelling and bruising that should subside within a week.
We employ the latest and safest injection techniques, including the use of a small blunt needle called a cannula, to treat the tear troughs.

Our team of experienced practitioners are highly trained in the use of both needles and cannulas depending on the patient’s unique circumstances and desired outcome. This approach reduces downtime and discomfort while ensuring patient safety.

We take a holistic approach to tear trough filler, as dark circles are often exacerbated by signs of aging, particularly volume loss in the mid-face.
We may recommend combining tear trough filler with other treatments, such as cheek filler, to optimize your overall facial rejuvenation. During your consultation, we will provide personalized advice to achieve the best possible outcome from your treatment.

1. What can the treatment do

Are your eyes showing signs of fatigue and aging? Are others commenting that you look tired, even after a full night’s sleep?

Changes in the bone, fat, and skin around your eyes can lead to the development of hollow tear troughs, eye bags, dark circles, and wrinkles. Tear trough filler is a safe and effective treatment that can address these common concerns—all without surgery.

Experience the benefits of tear trough filler treatment done by experts at NEU Clinic:

  • Reduces crow’s feet and deep wrinkles around the eyes
  • Supports the under-eye complex by restoring temple and cheek volume
  • Improves the appearance of hollowness affecting the lower (tear trough) and upper (A-frame) eyelids
  • Treats dark circles by reducing shadowing
  • Reduces the severity of lower eye bags

Tear trough filler provides immediate results, with any fillers being fully reversible. There is no downtime, and the results are long-lasting.

If you’re concerned about the appearance of hollows, dark circle, eye bags and wrinkles, you may be suitable for this treatment.

To ensure your tear trough filler treatment goes to plan, follow our preparation guidelines:

  • Remove all makeup immediately before your appointment
  • Avoid consuming alcohol within 24 hours of your appointment
  • Refrain from intense exercise immediately before your appointment

After tear trough filler treatments, proper aftercare is crucial for optimal healing and results:

  • Avoid makeup, excessive alcohol, and intense exercise until the following day.
  • Gently apply a wrapped ice pack to the treated areas to minimize swelling and bruising.
  • Refrain from applying pressure to the treated areas for 7 days for filler and 4 hours for anti-wrinkle treatments.
  • Mild discomfort and swelling in the treated areas are to be expected.
  • Small lumps related to local swelling may occur and will resolve on their own.
  • Apply a wrapped ice pack for up to 4 hours to minimize swelling and bruising.

Look forward to a rested, refreshed appearance after rejuvenating your eyes. The immediate results will continue to improve over 2-4 weeks.

Your eyes will look less hollow and brighter, and the wrinkles less noticeable. Dark circles and eye bags will reduce. You can also consider additional treatment if you desire a more noticeable rejuvenation.

Enjoy long-lasting results that generally only need maintenance every 12-24 months.

Dark circles under the eyes can have a number of causes. These include:

  • Volume loss or deficiency of the under eye and cheek, due to weight loss, ageing or genetics
  • Thin skin, allowing the underlying muscles and blood vessels to be seen
  • Shadowing from your brow, often seen with hollow or deep-set eyes
  • Skin pigmentation

Eye bags are often due to fat protrusion from your eye socket. Some people are more prone to eye bags, and develop them with age.

With age, the structures that hold the fat in position weaken. This results in fat protrusion, giving a bag.

Upper eyelid hooding is due to excess skin on your upper eyelids. This worsens with age.

While best treated with an eyelid lift or brow lift surgery, non-surgical treatment can improve the appearance of upper eyelid hooding.

The best treatment for dark under eye circles depends on the cause.

Pigmentation can be treated with certain creams and skin treatments.

Thin skin can be improved with treatments that promote collagen production.

Hollowness can be treated with under eye filler.

We can treat eye bags without surgery using under eye filler. This blends the bags in with the surrounding skin, disguising them.

What should I do before my non surgical Rhinoplasty?

There are a few steps to take before getting a non surgical rhinoplasty to ensure your treatment goes well:

  • Cease all anti-inflammatories and supplements 1 week before your treatment (unless you have been advised to take these by a medical practitioner).
  • Avoid excessive alcohol within 24 hours of your treatment.
  • Attend your appointment without makeup.

Non-surgical rhinoplasty aftercare is important. Follow these steps:

  • Keep the skin clean for 24 hours.
  • Take analgesia for discomfort.
  • Avoid any firm pressure to areas injected with dermal filler for 7-10 days.
  • If you’ve had fillers to your nasal bridge, avoid wearing heavy glasses for 7-10 days.

If you’ve had nose fillers placed on your bridge, avoid wearing bulky glasses that sit on your nose bridge for 7-10 days.

Wait at least 2 weeks after a non-surgical rhinoplasty before scuba diving. This is because the pressure of the mask may indent the fillers.

If after scuba diving you notice an indentation on the nose, you should apply pressure to both sides of the area with each index finger to re-mould the filler.
